What Causes Itching And Swelling In The Toe Joint?

Hi, my third toe joint started feeling itchy about 5-6 days ago...yesterday when I walked bare feet at home, it started hurting. It feels like I couldn't press my foot down the ground. Then 2 nights ago, I woke up early at 3 am and couldn't get back to sleep until 5-ish. Also feeling out of breath recently, like i have to take deep breath at times. Just wondering what's wrong? Can you please help? thanks
