What Causes Itching Around Ankles?

Ok I have this bad itch on my back and around my ankles all the the time. If I don t take hydroxyz hcl 25mg every night my back will start to itch a whelp up . Now I m taking allergy pills zyretc . I need help because this has been accuring for 10 years and I m tired of taking medicine. Is there a shot or something I can take?

Hi,

The lesions you mentioned may be allergic contact dermatitis. Kindly consult dermatologist.

I would suggest...

- antihistaminics
- steroid in tapering dose
- short course of antibiotics
- apply steroid with gentamycin cream
- avoid soap bath
- avoid contact with suspected allergens
