What Causes Itching Around Ears And Cheeks When Diagnosed With Cervical Spondylitis?

I will be turning 70 years of age in couple of weeks. I have been diagnosed having Cirvical Spondylosis but I have no pain in the neck or back. I get itching around both the ears, behind the ears, cheeks, lower jaw and neck and back of head. I saw ENT surgen 3 years back who prescribed Vertin 8mg once a day. I took it for six months but no improvement. I was switched on to Sugeron but the condition did not imrove. My balance is not very well. I could live with that but the ache associated with itching is getting worst and affecting my sleep. Presently I have seen the ENT surgen who has prescribed Vertin 8mg-one tab three times a day plus Mecovon OD once during lunch. Will this help me?
