What Causes Itching Around Fractured Ankle?

I fractured my ankle in three places on June 6, 2016 I am no longer under my doctor s care and I am experiencing a lot of itchiness around the ankle. WHY? What is the best cream to use to stop it. I have an almost uncontrollable desire to scratch. This started last week and is getting better. I can t sleep at night because of it and am extremely tired as a result.

You can use synopen cream or mild steroid cream. It may have been caused by cast or by swelling and tissue oedema. You should have cold baths of leg each days and rest.
