What Causes Itching Around Vagina Along With Green And Yellow Discharge?
Hi, so I ve been having some itching around my vaginal area for a few months now. It doesn t itch all the time but it does frequently. My discharge is also kind of yellow and just a few days ago I started noticing a green color showing up on my liners. I haven t had any sexual contact yet so it can t be an STD. What could I be having?
The itching around vagina with green and yellow discharge indicates most probable issue with the infection via Trichomonas vaginalis. After thorough clinical examination, I do recommend the following measures for better recovery: - Vaginal hygiene care with sitz bath of epsom salt and lavender oil as natural remedy - Avoidance of vaginal and anal sex if involved - Plenty of liquids and citrus fruits - Prescription of Metronidazole with or without Azithromycin, anti fungal medication such as Fluconazole on prophylactic basis - Antihistamine such as Cetirizine or Loratidine - Control of blood sugar
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
