What Causes Itching At The Previously Present Picc Line Scars?

I had two different picc lines when I was pregnant and removed and have healed and scarred over, my son is now six and my scars will randomly start itching out if nowhere and don’t stop itching even if I take Benadryl it will stop for a little bit then comes back with a vengeance after a few hours what should I do
