What Causes Itching, Burning And Swelling In Vagina After Starting Birth Control?
My vagina is swollen on one side there s no marks or pus coming out but it itches and burns a little bit it s just mainly really swollen. Just some side info if it matter. I recently started my birth control (shot:Depo) on July 17 Im praying maybe it s just a side effect please help thank you
Unilateral swelling may be due to infection or trauma to the area. It may also occur as a part of a inflammatory reaction to the some chemical agent that came into contact with the area.
The application of a mild topical steroid cream may help. In addition a topical antifungal may be needed. Fungal infections are the most common in this area.
I hope this helps
