What Causes Itching Burning White Blotchy Spots On Legs And Arms?

I have red and white blotchy spots on the underside of my arms and on my legs below the knee. It occasionally burns and itches. It is not raised and I have been taking Benedryl which does not seem to help. It comes and goes but never goes all the way away. It has been about 10 days now that I have noticed this.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hello,

As per your case history of red itchy spots, my treatment advice is -
1. Don't scratch the lesion as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply a mild antibiotic plus steroid cream like Fusiderm-B cream twice daily on it.
3. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetirizine twice daily for 7-10 days.

If the problem persists then consult a dermatologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Harshit Bhachech
