Hello,
Keep the area clean and dry, wash gently with warm water (no harsh soaps), and wear loose, breathable cotton underwear. Avoid any more sexual contact (especially unprotected) until a diagnosis is made and treated fully. STIs commonly cause clear or yellowish-white discharge, itching, burning, and pain.
Balanitis causes allergies (e.g., to condoms) or infections (fungal/bacterial) due to poor hygiene.
Redness, swelling, discharge, and itching may be the symptoms caused.
Get examined by a
urologist and get a urine test (R/E and C/S) to detect UTI, a swab, or a
blood test to check for infection or STIs. If it’s a
fungal infection, UTI or STI, you will be treated with antibiotics, antifungals or antivirals.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
