What Causes Itching In Lungs While Coughing?

Hi, when I cough my lungs (and I think) bronchial tube) itch. Where I live, there is tons of pollen this time of year. I tried to remove spray paint off of concrete with Good Off, so it might be that I inhales xylene or any other harsh chemical (my little sister got a hold of spray paint, but could it be that I inhaled nasty fumes when I used it to paint my motorcycle frame?). Or it might be that I inhaled fumes while polishing aluminum pieces with a buffer? Btw I m 13, obviously don t smoke and am rarely around 2nd hand smoke.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and welcome.

I do strongly suspect you to have inhaled some fumes, but I cannot be sure as to what exactly has caused your symptoms whether it was the spray paint or the buffer you used. I would although request you to report to either a general physician or a pulmonologist for further evaluation.

Best wishes.
