What Causes Itching In The Ear After Using Ciprofloxacin Dexamethasone?

My 7yr old is using ciprofloxacin dexamethasone for a ute localized right otitis external! I m getting more confused reading the label. Is it normal for her ear to be itchy inside? Her ear is still sensitive to touch on the outside. It s now her 3rd dosage. I accidentally put in 5drops so did I irritate it therefore the strange itchiness as she calls it. Please help.

Hello,

The symptoms can be related to a fungal infection.

I suggest using antifungal medication such as Fluconazole.

I also recommend using antifungal eardrops.
