What Causes Itching In The Forearm?

My right forearm itches like crazy. There is never any sign, like a rash nor red area. I put Hydrocortisone 2% cream on it . My dermatologist said it was a nerve itch and that if the cream helped to continue to use it. It is only temporary relief. Any ideas?

Hello,

As first-line management, you can apply low potency steroid creams like betamethasone for symptomatic relief. If the lesion persists, it is better to consult a dermatologist and get evaluated.
You can also take antihistamine like cetirizine for itching.
