What Causes Itching In The Hands And Feet While On Montelukast?

I have been taking Montelukast 10 mg for about a week at bedtime. I have been itching terribly especially on my feet and hands. It this a side effect and should I be worried? The itching is unbearable and I am about to soak both feet and hands in ice water.
