Please help. I started taking minocycline for acne in July 2016. A few months later, I developed slight itching, swelling, and burning of the vagina. This went on for months. I thought I had uti or yeast infection but that was not it. Desperate, I started taking the remaining minocycline pills I had left in the month of May, 2017. After 2 weeks and slight improvement, taking the remaining pills did not cure me. Then, I upped the minocycline dosage to three times a day. This gave me pain and burning of the lower abdomen and right hand side of my back. Then I stopped taking minocycline. A week later, my doctor examined me and found white pus in my vaginal cavity. She told me I have bacterial vaginosis. How can I completely cure and get rid of bacterial vaginosis? My doctor prescribed flatly for one week but this did not completely get rid of the bacterial vaginosis.
