Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Last Friday, I experienced itchiness on my back, neck, and shoulders. I can feel that my skin is bubbly/pebbled, and seems slightly swollen. It turns red and irritated in the shower, or when I am warm, and is still present today (Monday). What can this be? I took a Claritin to see if it was allergy/histamine related, but that had no effect.
For itching on back, neck and shoulders you can take antibiotic like cefadroxyl or doxycycline after an expert opinion along with avil or cetrizine for redness and itching. You can use betnovate-c or candid-b powder for local application. If still itching persists you can take steroids as suggested.
