What Causes Itching On Shoulder?

I am 36, female, I have had this insane itching with my right shoulder for about 6months, the skin has begun to thicken from the scratching, now in the last few days the shoulder bone hurts like its been hit on something but I haven t injured it at all.

Hi,

You said you have itchy rash on right shoulder. Due to continuous itching, the affected skin may be thickened. I think you may be having neurodermatitis with lichen simplex chronicus. The psychological factors like stress,anxiety and depression may be responsible. Be mentally strong. Have positive attitude. And avoid worries for trivial things.avoid soap at bath. Cosult dermatologist for firm diagnosis. Anxiolytic drugs like fluoxetin 10 mg daily in morning,antihistaminics like levocetirizine 5 mg at night and Steroid in tappering dose for few weeks may be taken. Apply tacrolimus oint. twice a day. I hope you got my answer.
