What Causes Itching On The Body After A Cardioversion?

husband had cardioversion this morning. Where the two patches were placed is itching a lot. We put bendaryl cream on, didn t really help. Called the hospital and they said to buy Bendaryl. Since he doesn t do drugs well, just took a 25 mg tablet. If it doesn t help within 1 hr, should he take another 25 mg tablet? Thank you,

Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to an allergic reaction.

I suggest using antihistamines daily such as Benadryl.

I also recommend using hydrocortisone cream for local application.
