What Causes Itching On The Scalp, Finger Tips And Nostrils?

I have very itchy scalp, fingertips and nostrils and dont know why. It literally drives me crazy. My hairdresser says she doesn t see anything wrong with my scalp. I have no dandruff and I have tried all different hair products and find no relief. As for my itchy nose and fingertips, that started recently. Could it be allergies?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

It is possible that it is an allergic reaction but since it is not generalized , it would imply that it is more likely related to some agent that is coming into to contact with these areas.

There are allergy tests that can help to identify the likely allergen. Allergy tests can be in the form of skin prick tests or blood tests.

Once the allergen is identified, then you can reduce your exposure.
You may want to consider seeing a dermatologist for assessment and treatment.

I hope this helps
