What Causes Itching On The Scalp While On Arimidex?

I have been on arimidex for 3 1/2 years...just recently I am feeling occasional itchy scalp....no dandruff, no head lice. ect...could this be from the medication after taking it this long..it s definitely not intolerable...just itches occasionally...thought it might just be my hair spray...or shampoo..but they re both different brands..just would like to not itch....thanks

Hi,

Itching of scalp can be due to allergy( please check with omitting your hair spray/shampoo one by one to observe diminished itching ... will help you to detect allergy.)

The drug is known to cause excessive sweating which can start itching. due to allergy /help fungal infection to set in cause itching.

Drug can cause thinning of hairs...may be due to above causes along with itching.

Improved hair care along with treatment suggested by skin specialist would help.
