What Causes Itching Sensation And Discomfort In The Vaginal Area?

Hi I have been experiencing vaginal itching and discomfort for the past 2 or 3 days. I don t have any rash. Could this be a yeast infection? Is so what should I do. I put some vagisil anti itch cream on which is getting rid of the itchiness but the itchiness keeps coming back after a couple hours. Should I go to the doctor?

Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern. In the current scenario, you have to get a complete clinical evaluation and plan further management. Please do not self-medicate. You would need a swab test, urinalysis and blood counts. Abstain from intercourse until you are well healed. Your partner also may need to be treated if necessary. Avoid tampons. Do not douche or use strong soap solutions. Hope you find this information useful. Wish you good health.
