What Causes Itching Sensation And Soreness In Vulva?

Hello my name is Celi and a week ago i made an appointment with my doctor because i had itch in my vulva so i freaked out but the doctor is booked till july 2nd i tried getting a earlier appt but they had none and it takes 3 months to change doctors.So i stuck to the july 2nd which is when i have my appointment . Right now it just feels sore i have anxiety so i freaked out thinking i might have something serious I don t have insurance or a job right now so i am going to low income clinic so i was wondering if it will do bad waiting till appt on july 2nd because other places charge a lot of money and i don t have that right now please help. I have been crying all day and worried because i am scared it has never happened to me so it freaked me out thank you

Hi Celi,
I understand your concern.
Itchy, sore vulva can be due to allergy( to cosmetics / soap used),Infect5ion of vagina ( usually accompanied by vaginal discharge), infections of bowels/ urine , worm infestations, diabetes.
I don't think it needs to be tensed for these complaints.
You can have a general health check up with couple of investigations ( Blood CBC/ Urine test for infection, sugar/ stools examination - do get a clue of the cause from low income hospital & start with specific treatment with advise of the doctor there.
Till then you should observe genital hygiene well, apply betnovate with fluconazole ointment . Restrict sugar intake.
