Hi.. Can understand your concern.. As per your complain swelling and itching of lips after taking antibiotic tablet can be due to the adverse effect or the side effect of the medicine.. Although it is a good medicine but there are certain drugs which does not suit some individuals and cause allergic reaction. It is not at all necessary that every medicine suits every person. I would suggest you to consult your dentist and he can change your medicine if it is happening due to allergic reaction and can give you other antibiotics like amoxicillin or clarithromycin or cefixime etc. which are also good for tooth infection. Another thing is that as you told you have pain and only antibiotic is given to you, so once you should check that whether you are prescribed painkillers or not as pain cannot subside without them But anything should be done after clinical checkup..
