Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Itching Sensation In One Of The Labias?
My husband has peripheral neuropathy in his feet but he is not diabetic. He has taken Gabapentin in the past but the side effects were terrible (nightmares, unclear thinking, excessive sleepiness) and he refused to continue to take it. He currently takes Alpha Lipoic acid but his symptoms are getting worse. He also takes Flecanide, Xarelto, Omeperzole and Prevastatin. Could these medications be causing it? What else can be done to relieve the pain and burning?
After going through your medical query I understand your concern and I would like to tell you that none of the medication is causing neuropathy. It's recommended for him to take cap Evion LC, Me 12 daily for 15 days and Uprise D3 60k twice a week. Consult back with update in symptoms.
Hopefully this information will guide you properly.
Kind Regards Dr Bhanu Partap
