Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi. I have problem which bothers me for a long time. I have itchy anus. I thought the reason is threadworms, i used medicine for that, but it didt help. Also i dont see worms in toilet. Could it be hemorrhoids? I dont have bleeding, but itchy feeling is all the day. Im shy to go to doctor. Also Im from other country. Maybe I could use something without doctors permision what could help for this problem. Hope to hear from You. Best regards,Alice
3. Sitz bath twice daily (by keeping your rear end in bath tub filled with lukewarm water for 5 to 10 minutes)
4. Antiacidity medicine like pantoprazole or ranitidine group of drugs with antacids are also advisable for 3 to 5 days.
Hope this helps you, if it doesn't then you need to see your family physician or general surgeon for physical examination and per rectal examination or proctoscopy.
Thanks for your question. Please feel free to ask for follow up question and I will gladly answer you.
Best wishes, Dr. B R Hudda
