Hi,

Perineum is a very sensitive part. Over cleaning and under cleaning can give such issues. Fungal infections are also common due to excessive sweat and debris accumulation. You can use an antifungal cream or ointment like Clotrimazole (Candid B) or Miconazole for local application. Avoid hard detergents on undergarments also. Use loose undergarments. Also use hypoallergenic soaps for washing the perineal area.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nishad B. N., General & Family Physician
