What Causes Itching Sensation In The Vagina While On Yeast Infection Treatment?

I have been selected treating what I believe is a yeast infection. I am on day 4 of a 7 day treatment of monistat 7. I have alot of swelling at the opening of my vagina and the itching is still horrible. I do not have a fever. What could this be and is there a home treatment I can do?

Hello dear
I understand your concern

Icthing is due to either due to infection that produce the irritation and may be side effect of the monistat drug.
Take following advise:
Wash the vagina with warm salted water and then apply apple cidar vinegar for 2-3 times per day.
Vaginal suppository of clingen and lactobacillus.
Take levoctrizine once day orally.
Wear pure cotton loose undergarments.
Avoid sweats in pelvic area.
If itching is sever then you cn use mild sterid ointment after proper prescription for short period time.
Drink plenty of water, avoid stress, healthy diet with mutivitamin and mineral supplements.
Avoid sex till you get better.
