What Causes Itching Sensation In The Vaginal And Rectal Area?

Hello, I have a slightly awkward question: what would cause the skin near my vagina and anus to be itchy? I have also noticed a couple of small bumps that feel like pimples. I only have 1 sexual partner: my husband of 21 years. However, I have been dealing with thrush in my mouth and wonder if the two could be related or if it could be a side effect from the medicine I m taking for that: terbinafine

Hello,

It is difficult to comment on the nature of bumps that you have reported without seeing. These could be a result of itching due to candida infection of genital areas. It could also be an allergic reaction to medication or anything that you may be used locally to soothe the itching.

Terbinafine is an antifungal medication. Other that allergy there is no instance of eruptions reported as a side effect of this medication. If there is pre-existing skin condition such as psoriasis or eczema, it can worsen with this medicine.
