General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Itching at night can be from different reasons. Insect bites such as bed bugs are important to rule out. One may think that they are not present but they hide when the light is on and is very difficult to diagnose. Scabies is another possible cause as well.
A good visit with your doctor and a good examination of your skin may give more clues to as which is the most likely cause.

I hope this answers your query and is helpful to you. I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.

Regards,
