For the pass 3-4 weeks I have a constant to itch under both arm pits. I had been using a deodorant that does not have aluminum ____. Stop using it and went back to old deodorant because I thought the itching was a sign that I was allergic to an ingredient in that deodorant. Changing to my old deodorant has not helped. I still have the itching. Never had this before.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
As per your case history, you are having intertrigo. My treatment advice is:
1. Maintain good hygiene and bath twice daily. 2. Apply an antifungal cream like clotrimazole cream twice daily on it. 3. Take an antihistamine medicine like levocetrizine twice daily for 7 to 10 days. 4. Other treatment options are oral fluconazole, itraconazole and terbinafine to be taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
