What Causes Itching Shoulders And Swollen/painful Arms?

My husband had an itch on his shoulders, which has spread to his arms & has become very swollen on the arms, quite painful & still itchy. We thought it to be an allergy, so is taking an antihistamine, Amcol Fexo 180, which has helped the itch, but nothing else is any better. We cold not get into the Dr till tomorrow morning, but if you could help, we would be very pleased.

Hi, antihistaminics will only cause itching cessation without curing disease, if there is other problem like swollen and painful shoulder radiating to arms also,then u must see a dermatologist to get diagnosed first and after that the treatment course can be decided.
