What Causes Itchy And Burning Bumps On Inner Thighs?
I have small bumps in my inner thigh near the bottom of my vaginia. It burns , itches , and is serverley chaffed. I have taken a full prescription of antibiotics that are to help relive the pain of herpes , since I am HSV2 positive . This is uncommon from an outbreak though, it is very painful & I have used petroleum jelly, A&D , and dial soap as treatments for the past 2 weeks. Is there any way you can give me some answer or better treatment options ?
A rash over the inner thigh may be seen with a fungal infection of the thigh. This is also known as tinea cruris. Usually jock itch or fungal infection is seen when one wears tight clothing or do not maintain hygiene.
A few things that can help - Wearing loose cotton clothing Drinking lots of water and cranberry juice Using antifungal creams A sitz bath
Please see doctor if the infection persists as a skin swab may be needed to get to the cause.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards, Dr. Vignan Rachabattuni
