HI,
Thanks for asking. I understand your concern.
The boils on pubic area seem to be hair root infection.. which spreaded with itching. You used Agumentin .. thich killed the bacteria.. & the particular lesion was healed. But unfortunately you took incomplete dose of the antibiotic. This failed to irradiate infection & the remaining bacteria attacked another hair root over the time.
The lesson to be learnt is antibiotics are to be taken in sufficient quantity daily & for sufficient days to remove bacteria & cause complete healing. So self medication is hazardous. It does not remove complete infection & intermittent intake of antibiotics makes it in effective to kill bacteria.. w2hich form resistance to the antibiotic.
* Now about itching of pubic. cause can be-
- Heat, sweating, dampness followed by fungal infection/ allergy to sweat which causes itching.
- The heat & dampness is the condition that facilitates dwelling of pubic lice.. biting & itching by these is more at night & leads to itching.
* Management-
- keep the pubis clean.. remove hairs which cause more sweat & all following problems. .
- Frequent washing with soap/ hot water makes the skin more prone to itching./ use loose fitting hogiary undergarments .
- Use suitable creams to irradiate lice .. if any.
- Use anti fungal dusting powder for itching.
- Get advise of a doctor about full course of antibiotics.. Antibiotic along with management of itching would break in the cycle of reinfection
thanks.
