What Causes Itchy And Pus Filled Rashes On Thighs And Scrotum?
Hello doctor, I experienced extremely itchy rashes on both of my thighs around my groin. At d same time, I also noticed my scrotal sac became increasingly itchy as well. When I scratch it, and I must add it feels so good doing that,I observed red rashes on my scrotum. D d rashes on my thighs have spread significantly to my anus region and it also itches alot. Its been two weeks now and I ve tried combating it with mentholated dusting powder which abates d itchiness for a while. But no change yet. Now tonight I jus observed yellowish green secretions that are sticky from my scrotum. And its so painful dat it affects my mobility. I m really scared.

Hi,
It might be due to fungal infection of the skin, "Tinea cruris" also known as jock itch. It usually occurs in the skin around groin, inner thighs, and buttocks. Also the rashes itches or burns. I advise you to take:
- Tab. Itraconazole 100mg OD for 4-6 weeks
- Candid powder in the day time or
- Terbinafine cream at night for 2 weeks
- Maintain good self hygiene
If not responding to the above treatment, other causes should be ruled out.
