What Causes Itchy Blotches All Over The Body?

For the last few days I have had itchy blotches on my skin that swell horribly when I scratch. They seem to come randomly, . Just bought some gold bond cream and applied but it doesn t work. My top lip was slightly swollen once but that hasn t happened again. Any suggestions?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
Itchy blotches could be some allergic reaction to some substance you have come in contact with. Sometimes it even occurs if there is any insect bite which causes these kind of reaction.
I would suggest you to take levocetrezine 10mg tablet once a day for 3 to 5 days and see whether it comes down. If not then take a corticosteroid orally like dexamethasone tablet with it.
It should come down with above given advice.
I hope i have answered your query well. if you have any more query kindly write back to me will be happy to answer them.
Thank you
