I ve had a cough for about three weeks now & it started calming down but yesterday I woke up with my right eye swollen so we went to get benedrol and that made it go away and then later that day my shoulder started to itch and then I saw it was red with big pale itchy blotches and it went across my chest to my other shoulder and then I took off my shirt and they were all over my stomach, arms, chest, face, back and legs. The doctor doesn t know what it is or what caused it so they just gave me steroids and earlier today I woke up not able to feel my arms and the urge to throw up. My mouth is swollen and I can t swallow.
Hi. Thanks for your query. Read and understood your history of cough for three weeks which while getting alright you noted swelling of the eye which got alright with Benedryl (a good antihistamine). But now you have white blotches all over, the Doctor just gave steroids and yet you have developed mouth swelling.
This looks to be a severe form of Angioneurotic edema. I would advise you the following: - This is urgent . -Rush to Emergency room / Hospital nearby. - you need Intravenous injections of antihistamines and steroids. - In rare cases one may need injection Adrenalin.
Rush to the hospital
