What Causes Itchy Brown Spots Around The Ulcerated Areas On The Earlobe?

I have an 87 yr. old woman that I care for who has had ulcerated areas on her ear lobe that heal and open up again. Recently there have been very round brown spots around this area. They get bigger then ulcerate. I have to note that she is always picking at them too. She says they are itchy

Hello dear. She might have got some abscess there. you need to consult a doctor, who may prescribe antibiotics like amox or erythromycin, and local application creams like neomycin.
