Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have red itchy bumps on my hand and my arm. I also have a huge bump on my face that is oozing clear stuff. I have already went to the dr and they said it was bug bites and I had a secondary infection. That lasted over 4 day. Now its back but in more p[laces. I don t know where I could have gotten bitten by bugs. I am at work. It is getting really bad. I have diabetes and have has cellulitus in the past but that was not itchy. I really don t know what to do. Cortisone is not working. My hand is so swollen you cannot see my knuckles.
I agree with your doctor that the symptoms can be related to bed bugs that have been infected. I suggest to clean the area with hydrogen peroxide and use an antibiotic cream for local application such as Neosporin cream.
I also suggest using an antihistamine such as Cetirizine to relieve the itching. I recommend to maintain good hygiene and clean the areas with an antibacterial soap.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
