What Causes Itchy Bumps On The Knees During Pregnancy?
hello! I am a 25 year old female. I am 5 3 and 125 lbs. I am currently 8 months pregnant and live in upstate NY. I am contacting you because I really need help to diagnose a skin issue that I have recently been having. I have weird bumps on my knees that itch and hurt. they are getting worse and are very itchy sometimes. when I itch them, it hurts. they look almost like blackheads but when I squeeze them, only a small amount of watery liquid comes out. I am very frustrated and embarrassed by them. could you please possibly tell me what this could be? I have never had anything like this before and I haven t changed anything such as lotions, soaps, diet, climate, etc. I am baffled. please help!
Hi Thanks for your your query The bumps on your knne could be caused by skin conditions like local skin infection by bacteria or fungi, local skin irritation/allergy.I will suggest you try the following: -Wash the spot with an anti-septic solution like cyteal -Apply a local topical anti-itch agent like benadryl or a steroid like bethametasone cream If symptoms persist of no improvement, you see the Dermatologist for evaluation. Hope this will help Best regards
