General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Though STD panel is negative, there can be a bacterial with fungal infection following dilatation and curettage procedure for miscarriage. My guidelines at present:
- Vaginal hygiene
- Avoid prolong use of same tampons
- Avoid sexual intercourse (if active at present)
- Discuss the need of culture swab report for bacterial pattern and antibiotic susceptibility levels with your treating OBGYN
- Plenty of liquids
- Cranberry sachet or pills
- Anti histamine as diphenhydramine or others

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
