What Causes Itchy Burning Vagina Post Protected Sex?
Hi. I had sexual intercourse last night with a condom (as I have many times before) and woke up with an itching and burning vagina. I ve had many yeast infections and UTIs and it does not feel like either of those. The itching and burning got worse throughout the day so approximately 4 hours ago I soaked in a warm bath and then put Vagisil on it. It is now EXTREMELY swollen (specifically my labias) although the itching is not as bad.
Looking into your narrative I can say you are most probably suffering from vaginal fungal infection. For this you have to take some antibiotic preferably cap doxycycline 100 mg twice daily after meals for at-least 5-7 days with tab cetrizine twice daily or tab Avil three times daily after meals for itching with tab rantac or cap omez twice daily empty stomach. You also have to take tab fluconazole 150 mg once daily in night for at-least 5-7 days or clingen-forte vaginal pessary to put into your vagina one pessary per night for at-least 7 days. Last but not the least, you have to maintain the hygiene of your private part by regular washing with simple shop water or you can also use V-wash vaginal gel for local application.
