Hi

Have itchy eyes with quite a bit of mucous, I know it is an allergy being that time if the year. I have tried Cetirizine 10mg once a day but found it made me light headed or sedated really, although it worked my eyes felt really good and not itchy. YYYY@YYYY

Hello
Welcome to Health care magic.

I reviewed your history. It seems from the history that you are having itchy eyes along with mucoid discharge.
My response to your question is as below.
1. These symptoms indicate allergy of the eyes in the form of allergic conjunctivitis.
2. The treatment of this condition is by use of anti-allergic drugs. Oral anti-allergic drugs like cetrizine are good but they cause sedation as a side effect and hence they are not preferred. I usually treat conditions like this by the use of topical anti-allergic drugs like olopatadine.
3. Hence I advice you to consult your eye doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.

Hope this answers your question.
