What Causes Itchy Eyes, Especially When Makeup Is Not Washed?

Goodevening doc, i usually have itchy eyes especially when I don t wash off my makeup before going to sleep. But of recent the itching is becoming severe, my eyes itch almost evry minute o the day and most time it feels lik there s a grain of Sand in it, today it got so bad most especially around my upper eyelid, so I decided to lift the skin up to see what s really causing the itching and to my shock, I saw s many black dots under my upper eyelid. It actually sent shivers down my spine because I don t think I ha seen that before and I then realized it s the cause of the sand like feeling in my eyes. I had to use a cold glad from the fridge to calm down the itching nd redness and swelling of my eyes. Please what wrong a how can I treat this permanently
