What Causes Itchy Freckles On The Skin?

Hi. I have two freckles on my chest. One to the left and one to the right. About the size of a tip of a fork. For the past two months they have been itching like crazy and I thought it could be a heat rash since I sweat a lot at work but it itches all the time.

Hi,

Itching over the freckles can be as a result of allergic contact dermatitis and sometimes due to inflammatory reaction against the increase number of melanosomes as it happens in MEYERSON NEVUS.

I would suggest you to have continuous observation over those because freckles usually mimic like lentigines. And lentigines has a chances of malignancy so sometimes these changes can be attributed to early sign of malignancy.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Atishay Bukharia
