What Causes Itchy Hives All Over The Face After Taking Feurosemide And Lisinopril?

3 months ago I was prescribed lysinopril, potassium, and feurosemide, which I take daily. 2 weeks after I was released from the hospital, I noticed a large rash, more like raised hives all over my face. Could it be the medicine, and is there a medicine like it, that will work for me?

Hello,

It sounds like an allergic reaction. Lisinopril is the most likely medicine to cause this of the ones you have listed. Ask your doctor for a different medication. There are many medications to treat high blood pressure but if you developed hives, you should not take this type of medication again.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
