What Causes Itchy Hives On Back, Torso And Pelvic Region?

My back and torso and pelvic area has broken out in hives very itchy I took 2 benadryl it s been a few hours now and still not gone all I had was eggs this morning before I broke out, it broke out while I was cleaning. Monday I had a catscan and drank the iodine they gave me, no bad reaction or anything else I ate or did.. what could have cause this?

Understanding your concern. Thanks for your query and as per your query you have itchy hives on back, torso and pelvic region . There are some factors like our environment , heat , cold , pressure and sun exposure ,which can act as trigger factor . Insect bite , pollen and some plants can also cause hives . The most important thing is to find the trigger factor , so that one can avoid trigger factor .I would suggest you to give cold compresses to hives several times a day to prevent from swelling and itching and take over the counter antihistamine drug like benadryl. If symptoms still persist the consult dermatologist for proper examination and treatment . Doctor may perform skin test and challenge to find out the trigger factor . Doctor may prescribe other steroid cream like mometasone , anti inflammatory drug or drugs that can suppress immune system .
