What Causes Itchy Lump At The Site Of Nexplanon Implant?

I had a nexplanon implant put in my arm over a year ago and this morning I woke up it has a small little bump and is itchy. Im not sure if its a bite directly on my injrction site or something I dhould be concerned about. Is it possible to have an infection this late into having it or an allergic reaction. I really dont know

Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Presence of little bump which is itchy could be due to reactive skin reaction over the Nexplanon implant site, probably due to mild friction or allergy.
Kindly take symptomatic treatment in the form of cleaning the area with mild antiseptic solution like Savlon and intake of Tablet. Levocetrizine.
Kindly observe for 24 hours and in case the symptoms doesn't subside, you need to seek medical attention immediately for proper evaluation and management.
