What Causes Itchy Lump On Scalp?

I have one itchy (extremely at times) lump on my scalp.....hard like a cyst....but when looking at it looks like a dime size rash.....no bugs ...b/c yes I thought a bite immediately....have children and a granddtr sooo anything is possible....noticed a week ago and not going away and not getting smaller??????

This sounds like tinea capitis--a skin/scalp fungal infection

You need to see your doctor for a prescription for Diflucan
