What Causes Itchy Lump On The Inner Thigh?

Okay, so there is this weird bump thing on my inner thigh, right next to my vagina. I got it about 2 days ago when I was laying down in my bed. I was just wearing a t shirt and underwear, but I scratched it cause it was itchy and when I woke up the next day, it was a giant lump. I at first thought it was a spider bite but now I m not so sure. It doesn t hurt or anything, its just really freaking me out.

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of itchy lump on inner thigh. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like folliculitis, local infection, lipoma or allergy. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to keep the area clean and dry and wear loose cloths. You should apply over the counter antibiotics cream and apply warm compresses . If condition doesn't get well then consult dermatologist for proper examination . Doctor may order test like allergy test or take sample for lab test . Doctor will check physically for tenderness and consistency . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics like clarithromycin along with anti inflammatory and corticosteroid cream . Doctor may also recommend surgical excision .
