What Causes Itchy Palms After Taking Cipro And Flagyl?
I am currently taking cipro and flagyl for diverticulitis. On my 8th day of a two week course I developed very itchy palms. Now today I have developed hives. On the backs of my legs and neck up into my scalp. I m taking Benadryl to help with the itching . Now this evening I m having a horrendous problem with heartburn. Should I continue with my meds. Help my doctor is out of town

The symptoms seem to be related to an allergic reaction. I suggest taking antihistamines daily such as Benadryl. For the heartburn, you can use antacids such as Maalox three times a day.
