What Causes Itchy Pink Bumps Around The Anus And Vagina After Sexual Intercourse?

Hello, I have small, mildly itchy pink bumps in between my anus and vagina. I have never had them before. They just started recently. I ve been having sex with the same partner pretty frequently lately, even when I started to get sore. I think they might just come from irritation during sex but I m not sure. I have a picture. Please help me.

Hello,

I can understand your concern. Presence of the bumps as you have described indicates fungal infection. You should take antifungal medicines to cure the infection. Fluconazome 150 mg (Fole) once a day for five days can cure the infection. You can also apply Betnovate-C (Betamethasone Valerate + Clioquinol) cream 2-3 times a day to the area.

Avoid tight fitting clothes and keep away from scented soaps, perfumes, bubble bath to the area. Do not forget to urinate after each sexual intercourse.

The infection should resolve within 5 days. If it does not, a physical examination by a gynecologist and further investigations are necessary. I hope this answer helps you. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. Take care.

Best,
Dr. Viraj Shah
